Boldy James - Consignment (Mixtape)

Boldy James is the definition of a trap star rapper, and has been popping up on tracks for the past year with the likes of Asher Roth, The Cool Kids, Big Sean and Chip tha Ripper just to name a few. His verse on the "Fat Raps Remix" is something to peep if you don't know who he is. His style is something like Young Jeezy trap-hop mixed with a younger, swag rapper like Casey Veggies or Rockie Fresh. A lot of rhymes about selling drugs, but plenty of skill on the mic nonetheless. This is his latest mixtape, which just dropped today and has features from Sir Michael Rocks, Logic and Chuck Inglish. It also features production from Chuck and Blended Babies. Sure to have some bangers on there, I still listen to his tape Trapper's Alley: Pros and Cons from last year. Download link and track list after the jump.

Jonathan Lee - Boss vs Boss (Rick Ross vs Bruce Springsteen)

It had to happen. The Boss and The Bawse, finally together. Jonathan Lee made it happen. The Canadian producer uses some interesting approaches to make this odd combination of bosses work beautifully. Instead of going for the straightforward one-on-top-of-the-other approach, Lee bends, twists, and transforms the music to fit his needs, and he does it like a boss. About 30 seconds into track No. 1, when “Born To Run” starts stuttering and the notorious “M-M-M-Maybach Music” comes in, you know you’re in for something special. Via P&P.

Despite the fact that I haven't been paying attention to Diddy and his latest push, Frenchie, there's no denying that this track has grown on me after only a couple plays. The video is one of the better ones I've seen so far this year as well. Well played Puff.
